Urban Forum "Can Manchester become a cycling city?"

In collaboration with the Manchester Cycling Lab, Cities@Manchester invited Manchester's citizens and cycling key stakeholers to explore the transformation of Manchester into a cycle city. Panelists included James Evans (The University of Manchester), Pete Abel (Love Your Bike), Kate Chappell (Manchester City Council), Steve Connor (Creative Concern) and Graeme Sherriff (University of Salford).

The overall conclusion from the panel and the engaged audience was that greater emphasis should be put on the benefits of cycling - such as the money saved, the health benefits and the reduction of air pollution - than the investments required to increase cycling levels in Manchester.
