Collaborative research in action at the ESRC Festival of Social Science

This year’s ESRC Festival of Social Science took place form 7-14 November with over 200 events across the UK. It is aimed at sharing the work of social scientists with the wider public and offering insights into how social science research impacts on our daily lives. The University Living Lab took this opportunity to explore the Living Lab approach and its role in collaborative research.

Call for Living Lab proposals for Schuster Annexe

15th June, 2015

There is now an new opportunity for Living Lab ideas to be included into a building project on campus. The project will add a new Annexe to the Schuster building, home to the School of Physics and Astronomy. Work is due to start this summer and is expected to finish in 2017. We are looking for research and teaching projects or recent innovations with a relevance to sustainability that could be implemented, tested and demonstrated in the new Annexe.

New Case Studies and Student Projects

21st May, 2015

Over the last few months, the University Living Lab has been working to establish a number of new partnerships and projects, including Living Lab proposals for the Manchester Engineering Campus Development and collaborations with Environmental Sustainability Advisers on campus. The outcomes of these efforts will be published in due course.
