Head Of The Planning Support Office

As Director of Planning at the University of Manchester, I am responsible for overseeing the development of the University's Strategic Plan, Manchester 2020 and reviewing performance against the milestones and targets of the Strategy. I provide policy advice, detailed analyses of key data and management information to senior management and oversee the submission of a number of statutory returns. I have a particular focus on the development of planning processes within the University's Professional Support Services and am also involved in a number of sector bodies and intiatives eg Chair of the Russell Group Directors of Strategy and Planning, AHUA Ambitious Futures programme and a HEFCE funded consortium project into Widening Access to Postgraduate Study.

Green Office Guidelines

Encouraging behaviour change - turning off equipment, recycling, etc. Plug-in timers to ensure equipment is switched off at the end of each day. Encouraging car sharing, with all travel requests assessed in Head Office. Recycles paper used.
