Dr. Joanne Tippett is a Lecturer in the Discipline of Planning and Landscape, School of Environment and Development at the University of Manchester. Her research is based in the Centre for Urban and Regional Ecology.

She is also the Founder of Ketso, a social enterprise spin off. In 2013 Ketso was awarded a commendation by the Royal Town Planning Institute for 'positive contribution to community engagement'. See www.ketso.com for more information.

Centre for Urban and Regional Ecology

The Centre for Urban Resilience and Energy brings together a diverse group of researchers based in the School of Environment, Education and Development. CURE focuses on the relationships between sustainability transitions in the energy, urban and environment domains. We build on the intellectual strengths and traditions of the Centre for Urban and Regional Ecology, which was active at Manchester between 2000 and 2013.
