Laura’s research group investigates various aspects of glucocorticoid receptor (GR) biology, in health and disease. In particular she is interested in how the multiple temporally and spatially separated GR signals are integrated, and how the cellular microenvironment influences processing of GR signals. Using a combination of in vitro models, pre-clinical in-vivo systems and ex-vivo human tissues, the overarching aim is to transition from 'bench to bedside' to inform new therapeutic approaches targeting the GR.
